Our goals in Chechnya

We wish to provide students from Grozny who have shown outstanding motivation with an opportunity to gain special qualifications by studying abroad. In doing so, we strive for the following goals:

Supporting qualification

The Chechen students can choose their personal subject of study and devote themselves to it in a safe environment with the support of qualified staff and up-to-date learning material.

Awareness-raising on both sides

The stay in Germany should provide the Chechen students with experiencing what life can be like in a democratic society. At the same time, the German society shall be made aware of the difficulties in Chechnya. The contact with German and other international students offers an opportunity to exchange ideas about what one expects from the society one lives in and what is needing to be done to arrive at promising results.

Enabling self-help

After their stay, the students should be able to promote the social and economic rebuilding of their home country. By drawing on their experiences gained in Germany and their newly acquired skills, the Chechen students have better chances of getting their ideas concerning the rebuilding of Chechnya into shape.
