New Future Perspectives for Young People Living in Kindu

With the help of this program we facilitate access to higher education for young people living in Kindu (a town located in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo). By contributions to the existing higher education, we want to improve the quality of university education in Kindu.

The Scholarship Program

We offer scholarships to selected high school graduates who could not afford to study at university level otherwise. In order to be selected, applicants must show motivation and the ability to contribute to the reconstruction of their country. The scholarships cover the tuition fees and the students’ living costs. In addition, the grants partially cover expenses for study materials.

The Computer Room

In cooperation with a local organisation, we are planning the establishment of a computer room in Kindu. In this room, students will have access to computers, computing classes and have the possibility to do computer research.

The library

Furthermore, we are planning to build a library in cooperation with local NGOs and the University of Kindu. This shall enable Kindu's students to get access to specialist literature, which is related to their studies. At the moment this access is hardly given.
